宮崎ハロー英会話のミニレッスン 45: Can you find the mistake?

This week a Hello English student brought this photo to class. It was taken at a park in Tokyo and there is a mistake-can you find the mistake?

It’s a spelling mistake, instead of “which” (どちら), the sign reads “witch” (魔女)! The pronunciation is the same, but the meaning is VERY different!

There is also one more useful expression which (!) my students asked about; ” Walk your bicycle in the park.” My students thought this was a mistake too, but this is ok.  “walk” has different meanings. Of course it means to move on foot by talking steps (walking), but it also can mean to make or cause someone or something to move, for example “walk my dog”. And “walk my bicycle” has this meaning.
