宮崎ハロー英会話のミニレッスン 57: Comet Ison

Risa: Hey Ami, what are you doing next week?

Ami: Nothing special. Why?

Risa : Well let’s go to the mountains to watch comet Ison!

Ami: What are you talking about? What’s a comet?

Risa: A comet is massive ball of ice and rock in space. Right now there’s a comet called Ison flying around the sun! Right at this moment it’s really close to the sun so it’s super hot, but if it survives the trip around the sun we could see a beautiful comet next week with a long tail. It could be brighter than the moon! We might even be able to see it during the day!

Ami: Wow! That is cool! Ok, so I guess if we go into the mountains, away from the city lights, we can see the comet better?

Risa: Exactly!

Ami: Ok, I’m keen! Let’s go!!
