宮崎ハロー英会話のミニレッスン 52: Lightening and Thunder?

Last Wednesday night in Miyazaki there was a big storm and there was lots of thunder and lightning. I woke up at 2 am and couldn’t sleep!

English is sometimes a strange language and sometimes I don’t understand it! In English we always say; ” Thunder and Lightning.” We never say; “Lightning and Thunder.” But, lightning always comes first, then we can hear the thunder so shouldn’t we say; “Lightning and thunder”?????
